NEW LONG FORM IMPROV CLASS!

What: 

Scenework --> Long Form Improv 

Learn how to do scenes without the games. The safety net is gone. Now what? We hunker into deep listening and connection with our scene partner. We create characters that help us get out of our head and speak from their perspective. We make strong choices that involve physicality and emotion. We put it all together and go the distance beyond short sustainable scenes to a full long form. We are on the road to mastering the art of improv!

When:  March 18th - May 6th, 6:30-8:30 p.m.

Questions:

This sounds a little intense, will it still be fun?

Yes! It will be fun + challenging. There will be more focus than the beginner classes with extra emphasis put on skill building and nipping habits in the bud. Generally my experienced improv classes are still a ton of fun with a different flavor to the fun.

Can I still take Improv For Confidence & Joy?

Absolutely. The more improv you take the faster you will embody the skills. The classes will feed off each other rather than interfering with each other. Plus, you can still get the "crazy, wild less focused fun  and community"of C&J each week, with the more focused skill building fun of long form improv.

Will there be a performance?

There will not be a performance for this class. We can discuss adding a performance in the Spring session of folks are wanting this.
